Last Update: Oct 05, 2026

We collect what we need to serve you, we protect it like it’s ours. and we never sell it

We’re here to help.

If you have any questions about these Terms of Use. Please contact us at support@northtechteam.com

1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to NorthTech Team (“NorthTech Team,” “NorthTech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website, online booking tools, customer accounts, communications, and technology-related services.

By accessing our website, creating an account, submitting a service request, scheduling an appointment, or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms of Use to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Certain services may also be governed by a separate signed service agreement, work order, estimate, managed IT agreement, installation contract, or other written terms. If a separate agreement applies, it will govern the specific services covered by that agreement where its terms differ from these general website Terms, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

2. Our Services

NorthTech Team provides technology services to individuals, households, and businesses. Depending on your location and the services offered there, these may include:

  • Computer repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Managed IT support and business technology consulting.
  • Security camera installation and related equipment configuration.
  • Network setup, Wi-Fi configuration, and connectivity support.
  • Remote technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Cybersecurity assistance, malware removal, and virus-removal services.
  • Software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Website services and digital marketing services.
  • Other technology support and related services described on our website or in an individual service agreement.

Service availability, pricing, appointment options, and eligibility may vary by location.

We may modify, expand, suspend, or discontinue website features or services, subject to existing contractual obligations and applicable law.

3. Service Requests, Estimates, and Appointments

You may use our website to request a quote, schedule an onsite visit, book remote support, contact our team, or request additional information.

Submitting a request does not necessarily mean that NorthTech Team has accepted the job or guaranteed an appointment.

A booking is confirmed when NorthTech Team provides confirmation through the applicable booking system, email, or other agreed communication method.

Any estimate or quoted price should identify the services it covers and whether it is fixed, estimated, or subject to further diagnosis. Additional work outside the agreed scope may require your approval and a revised estimate or written change order.

For covered Pennsylvania home improvement projects, the required written contract, price disclosures, change-order requirements, and other statutory requirements will apply where relevant.

We will communicate material changes to an appointment or agreed service scope as appropriate.

4. Onsite Booking Deposit

NorthTech Team generally requires a $69.99 deposit to reserve an onsite service appointment.

The actual deposit may vary by state, service type, appointment circumstances, and applicable legal requirements. The exact deposit amount will be disclosed to you before you complete the booking and payment process.

Before paying, please review the booking summary for: the deposit amount due; the service or appointment the deposit relates to; how the deposit will be applied to the total service price, if applicable; any additional payment requirements; and the cancellation and refund terms that apply to the booking.

The deposit is applied according to the terms disclosed at booking and any applicable service agreement. Unless expressly stated otherwise in the applicable agreement, the deposit is not an additional charge on top of the agreed total price merely because it was collected in advance.

Deposit refunds: Deposits are refundable in accordance with the cancellation terms disclosed for the booking, the applicable service agreement, and applicable law. NorthTech Team will not retain a deposit in circumstances where retention would violate applicable law.

We do not establish an automatic forfeiture of the deposit solely because a customer cancels an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice.

For residential work subject to special statutory requirements, the deposit amount, timing of collection, contract terms, and cancellation rights must comply with those requirements. The standard $69.99 booking practice does not override any applicable legal restriction.

5. Onsite Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customers should provide at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled onsite appointment if they need to cancel or reschedule.

To request a cancellation or rescheduling, contact NorthTech Team using the contact details in your booking confirmation or on our website.

We request advance notice to help coordinate technician schedules and make appointment times available to other customers.

The 24-hour notice period is a scheduling policy. It does not, by itself, create an automatic cancellation fee or authorize automatic forfeiture of a deposit. Refund eligibility will be determined under the disclosed booking terms, the applicable service agreement, and applicable law.

If NorthTech Team cancels an onsite appointment, we will notify you and, as appropriate, offer an alternative appointment or explain the available refund options.

This policy does not limit any statutory right to cancel or obtain a refund that applies to your transaction, including any legally required cancellation period for a covered residential home improvement contract.

6. Remote Support Appointments

The 24-hour cancellation notice policy in Section 5 applies to onsite appointments only. It does not establish a 24-hour cancellation requirement for remote support bookings.

If you need to cancel or reschedule remote support, please notify NorthTech Team as early as possible.

Refund requests for remote support will be assessed based on the service purchased, whether work has started or been completed, the applicable agreement, the terms disclosed before purchase, and applicable law.

Any separate cancellation terms applicable to a remote support service will be disclosed before you commit to the service.

7. Pricing, Payments, and Invoices

Prices, estimates, deposits, taxes, and payment schedules will be disclosed through the applicable quote, booking page, invoice, checkout, or service agreement.

Depending on the service, NorthTech Team may accept payment through online checkout, invoices, payment links, or other payment methods we make available.

You agree to provide accurate billing information and to pay amounts that are properly due under the applicable agreement.

If a price depends on diagnostics, materials, travel, equipment, additional work, or another variable, we will communicate the applicable estimate or pricing basis before proceeding with material additional work, subject to applicable law and any emergency arrangements you have expressly authorized.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment obligations are governed by the invoice or service agreement for the relevant service.

You are responsible for any applicable taxes that the law requires you to pay. NorthTech Team will collect and remit taxes where required.

8. Refunds and Incomplete or Undelivered Work

Refund eligibility depends on the service purchased, the work performed, the terms disclosed before purchase, the applicable service agreement, and applicable law.

NorthTech Team will review requests involving incomplete, cancelled, or undelivered work in good faith and in accordance with applicable obligations.

If NorthTech Team is unable to deliver a service that you purchased, we will explain the available resolution, which may include completing the service, rescheduling, providing an appropriate partial refund, or issuing a refund where required by the applicable agreement or law.

Work that has already been performed may affect the amount refundable, where permitted by the applicable agreement and law. We will not use this provision to avoid a refund required by law.

Any published refund policy or service-specific refund terms provided at checkout or in a signed agreement form part of the terms applicable to that purchase, subject to mandatory consumer protections.

9. Managed IT Services and Subscriptions

Certain business services may be provided through a recurring managed IT service plan, subscription, maintenance agreement, or other continuing service arrangement.

Subscription cancellations are governed by the applicable signed contract. Customers should review that agreement for the service term, renewal provisions, required notice, cancellation procedure, charges due through the cancellation date, and any other applicable obligations.

Nothing in these Terms changes a signed contract’s cancellation provisions unless the parties agree to the change in writing or applicable law requires otherwise.

NorthTech Team will disclose material recurring charges and applicable renewal terms through the relevant checkout process or service agreement.

Where recurring billing is authorized, you authorize the applicable payment provider to process charges in accordance with the agreement and your payment authorization.

If you have a question about a subscription or wish to request cancellation, contact NorthTech Team using the contact details in your service agreement or on our website.

Any legally required cancellation method, notice, or consumer protection will apply regardless of a conflicting provision in a general website policy.

10. Customer Responsibilities

When requesting or receiving services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate contact, billing, device, network, and service information to the best of your knowledge.
  • Ensure that you are authorized to request work on the device, account, network, premises, or equipment involved.
  • Obtain any necessary permission from an owner, employer, administrator, or other authorized party.
  • Provide reasonable access to the equipment or premises needed for the agreed work.
  • Tell us about known technical issues, security concerns, unusual symptoms, and relevant changes to the system.
  • Maintain current backups of important files before service, unless backup services have been expressly agreed upon.
  • Review estimates and obtain any necessary internal or third-party approvals before authorizing additional work.
  • Use our website, customer accounts, and services lawfully and without interfering with others’ systems or rights.

You must not use NorthTech Team’s website or services to engage in fraud, unauthorized access, unlawful surveillance, malicious activity, or any other unlawful conduct.

We may decline or pause work if we reasonably believe that the requested activity is unauthorized, unlawful, unsafe, or outside the agreed service scope.

11. Remote Access and Customer Authorization

Remote support may require temporary access to a computer, device, software application, network, or other system.

NorthTech Team will request appropriate customer permission before initiating remote access. You should only authorize access when you understand the purpose and scope of the session.

You are responsible for confirming that you have authority to authorize access to the relevant device, account, or system.

During a session, our technician may inspect system settings, run diagnostic tools, install or configure software, remove unwanted software, adjust network settings, or perform other actions within the authorized scope of the service.

You may request that a remote session be stopped. We may also terminate a session if access is unsafe, unauthorized, technically impractical, or outside the agreed scope.

Remote support may involve collecting technical information, diagnostic results, session logs, or other information necessary to provide the service. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Where a service requires additional consent or a separate authorization form, you must complete that authorization before work begins.

12. Backups, Data Loss, and Technical Limitations

Technology repair, diagnostics, software installation, malware removal, network changes, and other technical work can involve risks, including unexpected system behavior, data corruption, downtime, or data loss.

Unless backup services are expressly included in a written agreement, you are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important data before service.

Please tell us before work begins if you have important unbacked-up data, specialized software, business-critical systems, or other requirements that could affect the work.

NorthTech Team will use reasonable care when performing agreed services. However, we cannot guarantee that every device, file, application, account, or system can be repaired, recovered, secured, or restored.

We do not promise that every virus, malware infection, security vulnerability, or technical problem can be detected or permanently eliminated.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or excuses NorthTech Team from obligations imposed by applicable law.

13. Cybersecurity and Security Limitations

Cybersecurity services may reduce certain risks but cannot guarantee complete protection against all threats, attacks, data breaches, vulnerabilities, or unauthorized access.

Security outcomes depend on many factors, including third-party software, vendor updates, user behavior, network configuration, and threats that may not be known or detectable at the time of service.

Unless specifically included in a written agreement, NorthTech Team does not guarantee continuous monitoring, uninterrupted protection, or the prevention of all future incidents.

Customers remain responsible for maintaining appropriate account credentials, applying recommended updates, using suitable access controls, and following security recommendations relevant to their systems.

Any managed security or monitoring commitment will be defined by the applicable service agreement.

14. Limited Service Warranty

NorthTech Team may offer a limited service warranty for certain services. The duration, scope, exclusions, and remedies may vary by service and will be stated in the applicable written agreement, invoice, or warranty document.

A warranty may not cover new problems, unrelated failures, pre-existing damage, customer modifications, third-party interference, misuse, or issues caused by circumstances outside the agreed work, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you believe a service is defective or has not been performed as agreed, contact NorthTech Team promptly and describe the issue. We will review the matter under the applicable warranty, agreement, and law.

Equipment and software supplied by third parties may be subject to their own warranties and terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

15. Third-Party Products, Software, and Services

Our services may involve third-party hardware, software, platforms, payment processors, scheduling tools, communication services, or other products.

Those third parties may have separate terms, privacy notices, licenses, and warranties. Your use of their products or services may be governed by those terms.

NorthTech Team is not responsible for third-party products or services beyond the responsibilities imposed on us by applicable law or expressly accepted in a written agreement.

We do not control every third-party service’s availability, security, compatibility, policies, or future changes.

We will not represent a third-party warranty or service commitment as our own unless we expressly agree to do so.

16. Website Accounts and Electronic Communications

Certain website features may allow you to create a customer account, submit requests, receive appointment updates, communicate with support, or access service information.

You are responsible for providing accurate information and taking reasonable steps to protect your account credentials. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You must not attempt to access another person’s account, interfere with website operations, introduce malicious code, or misuse our systems.

By providing contact information, you agree that NorthTech Team may send service-related communications necessary to manage your request, appointment, payment, or service relationship, subject to applicable law.

Marketing email and SMS communications will be handled in accordance with the applicable consent and opt-out requirements. You may opt out of marketing communications through the available method in the message or by contacting us, subject to applicable law. Opting out of marketing messages does not necessarily stop essential service-related communications.

Electronic records and signatures may be used where permitted by law. Where a particular contract requires a specific form of signature, notice, or delivery, that requirement will control.

17. Privacy and Data Handling

Your use of our website and services is also subject to the NorthTech Team Privacy Policy.

Depending on your interaction with us, we may process information such as your name, email address, telephone number, service address, appointment details, payment-related information, device information, diagnostic records, remote-session logs, and website usage data.

We may use service providers for functions such as analytics, payment processing, scheduling, customer relationship management, communications, and technical support.

Please review the Privacy Policy for further information about information collection, use, sharing, retention, security, and applicable privacy rights.

18. Website Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website and its content, including branding, text, graphics, designs, logos, and original materials, are owned by or licensed to NorthTech Team and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use the website for personal or legitimate business purposes related to evaluating or obtaining our services.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell, or commercially exploit our protected content without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

Any third-party names, trademarks, products, or software remain the property of their respective owners.

Rights in customer-provided materials and deliverables created under a service agreement will be determined by the applicable agreement.

19. Website Availability and Information Accuracy

We aim to keep our website and booking tools available and accurate. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the absence of technical interruptions.

Service descriptions, availability, estimated prices, and other website information may be updated from time to time. An online description does not replace a specific written quote or signed agreement for an individual job.

We may suspend access to all or part of the website for maintenance, security, technical reasons, or other legitimate operational needs.

Nothing in this section removes obligations arising from a confirmed booking or signed agreement.

20. Disclaimers

Except where a written agreement expressly provides otherwise, service outcomes depend on the condition of the equipment, the nature of the problem, third-party systems, available parts, and other circumstances.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, NorthTech Team does not guarantee that every technical issue will be resolved, that every device will remain operational after service, or that every third-party system will remain compatible.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits an express written warranty, a statutory warranty, a consumer remedy, or other right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Any disclaimer of implied warranties must be interpreted only to the extent permitted by the law governing the particular transaction.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, NorthTech Team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential losses arising from website use or services, such as lost profits, lost business opportunities, or loss of anticipated savings, where those categories of loss may lawfully be excluded.

This provision does not exclude or limit liability where doing so is prohibited by law, including liability that cannot lawfully be disclaimed for a particular claim or transaction.

Nothing in this section is intended to waive statutory consumer rights, invalidate a required remedy, or override any mandatory contract requirement.

22. Indemnification and Responsibility for Customer Conduct

You are responsible for ensuring that your requests and instructions are authorized and lawful.

If a claim arises from your unlawful conduct, unauthorized instructions, or misuse of the website, responsibility will be determined under applicable law and any enforceable terms in the applicable service agreement.

This section does not require you to indemnify NorthTech Team for NorthTech Team’s own unlawful conduct or waive any rights that applicable law protects.

23. Suspension or Refusal of Service

NorthTech Team may decline, suspend, or discontinue a requested service where reasonably necessary due to safety concerns, suspected unlawful activity, lack of authorization, nonpayment of amounts properly due, unavailability of required parts or personnel, or circumstances that make the work impractical.

Where a booking or signed agreement is already in place, any cancellation, refund, or other consequences will be handled under that agreement and applicable law.

We will not use this section to avoid a contractual or statutory obligation.

24. Governing Law and Disputes

These general website Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without applying conflict-of-law rules to the extent such rules may lawfully be excluded.

Mandatory laws applicable to the customer, location, service, or transaction may still apply.

Before starting formal proceedings, the parties may attempt to resolve a dispute by contacting NorthTech Team and providing relevant details about the transaction and requested resolution.

Any venue, court jurisdiction, mediation, or arbitration requirement must comply with applicable law and any separate service agreement.

25. Changes to These Terms

NorthTech Team may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the website with an updated effective date or other notice as appropriate.

Changes generally apply from the stated effective date, subject to applicable law and existing contractual obligations.

A change to these website Terms does not automatically amend a separate signed service agreement. Any amendment to that agreement must follow its terms and applicable law.

26. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be applied only to the extent legally permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply where possible.

This section does not require a court to enforce a provision that applicable law makes invalid or unenforceable.

27. Entire Agreement and Service-Specific Terms

These Terms govern general use of the NorthTech Team website and related online features.

They should be read together with the Privacy Policy, applicable refund and cancellation terms, booking disclosures, and any relevant signed service agreement, work order, installation contract, warranty document, or subscription agreement.

For a particular service, the relevant signed agreement and mandatory legal requirements may contain additional terms or disclosures.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to replace a contract or notice required by applicable law.
